Because of my respect for democracy

Nurdin juga menegaskan, dia tidak mungkin turun apabila ada intervensi pemerintah maupun DPR.

"Mana ada di dunia ini, tim menang, ketua umumnya diminta turun. Lihat para pemain. Contohnya si Yongki [Ari Wibowo] dibesarkan dan dimatangkan di Superliga. Hasilnya ya seperti ini," katanya.

"Saya mau tegaskan, Nurdin Halid tidak akan pernah mau mundur dengan tekanan. Karena saya menghargai demokrasi, menghargai sistem, dan menjaga martabat PSSI sesuai statutanya."
